Project Engineer

Noble CM Group is seeking a motivated Project Engineer (PE I) to support the successful delivery of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This hybrid role provides exposure to both field operations and project management while working directly alongside experienced Project Managers and Superintendents. The Project Engineer plays a key role in project coordination, documentation, communication, and execution while gaining experience across the full construction lifecycle.


Key responsibilities

  • Manage RFIs, submittals, and project document control

  • Support procurement, buyout, and subcontractor coordination efforts

  • Assist with cost tracking, change orders, and project reporting

  • Coordinate field activities with Superintendents and trade partners

  • Prepare agendas, meeting minutes, and action items for OAC and trade partner meetings

  • Assist with QA/QC processes, inspections, and closeout documentation

  • Maintain project logs, meeting documentation, and construction records

  • Support preconstruction activities and project planning efforts

  • Coordinate with Owners, Architects, Consultants, and subcontractors throughout project execution


Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of commercial construction experience or related internship experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Construction Management or Engineering preferred

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and construction documents

  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Willingness to learn both field operations and project management responsibilities


Preferred

  • Experience supporting commercial, education, municipal, healthcare, or institutional projects

  • Exposure to CM-at-Risk or negotiated delivery methods

  • Internship or field coordination experience preferred

  • Understanding of construction scheduling and project workflows
